Training Overview for Hardware Class

Students attending the Hardware course receive the following training manuals:

ImageTrac Specification and Application Overview
Installation Guide
Hardware Set Up Guide

Troubleshooting Guide

Parameter Set Up Manual

In addition to receiving the printed manuals listed above, the students also receives a CD that contains a PDF version of all documentation. The CD also contains all ImageTrac Assembly Drawings.

The ImageTrac Hardware course is approximately 40% lecture and 60% hands-on training. The ImageTrac Hardware course, designed for Field Service personnel, covers all aspects of the ImageTrac hardware and related components. The principle objective of this course is to enhance the understanding of the ImageTrac mechanics and to develop an understanding of the components, their functionality and how these components interact with the software. The following topics will also be covered:

ImageTrac Functionality and Theory of Operation
Camera Adjustment/Installation
OCR, Bar Code, MICR and Image Capture Setup
Power Supplies
Sensors
Sorting Configurations
Inkjet Setup and Maintenance
Picker and Feed Tire Adjustments
Onboard PC Configuration

The course is a 5-day course that begins at 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Ending up on 1:00 p.m on Friday. (Subject to change if requirements deem necessary)

The daily course content:
Day 1:
Introduction
General overview of the scanner and disassemble and reassemble scanner

Day 2:

Continue disassembly and reassembly of scanner and review of day 1

Intro to hardware set up (HardWare SetUp)

Hardware set up lab

Day 3:

Troubleshooting Exercise

Camera set up and image control

Camera set up lab

Day 4:

Troubleshooting Exercise and review of day 2 and 3

Camera Set Up continued

Factory tour

Intro to parameter set up (ParmSetUp), barcode setup, windowing, OCR set up, MICR reader

Day 5:

Troubleshooting Exercise

Continue ParmSetUp

Maintenance

Closing questions and discussion, review of week
